I was born and raised on the Great Plains, but came of age in the Colorado Rockies. I currently live in the Pacific NW which has been my home now for many years. The mountains, high desert, and especially the rugged Pacific coastline call to me. Not to mention the wildlife…and the active volcano (Mount St Helens) sitting in my back yard.
As a writer, I’ve found the Pacific NW is ideal for scouting locations (story settings), people-watching (character sketches), and historical research (potential plotlines). So I indulge in all three activities as often as possible.
I love tea, travel, chocolate, and good stories told well. I also have a fondness for big beautiful old houses, ancient ruins, and cemeteries filled with gravestones and a family crypt or two. And if they’re haunted by memories of love or loss? So much the better!
Oh, and I’m always on the lookout for new music. But then, isn’t everyone?
